To market, to market, to buy a fat pig ...

... or a couple of kilos of fat brussels sprouts for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow! Do kids even learn that rhyme anymore?

ANYWAY ... on this bee-yoo-tiful morning, Paul and Freddie and I visited the Kitsilano Farmers' Market, a hustling-bustling, wholesome, organic, wool-sock-Birkenstock-wearing scene.

Paul travelled here by bike (so he could load up a backpack and panniers).

Freddie and I hoofed it — in part so that he could burn off some of his morning zanies before adhering to this rule:

We found brussels sprouts, au naturel:

And a veritable explosion of other good things:

We met up with our favourite veggie vendor, Storm Luck, author of Big Secret — first book in his best-selling Market Murder Mystery series (Paul and I make cameo appearances in the novel but are not, alas, the killers).

Freddie insisted on having his picture taken with Storm and his colleague, Kyle.

More good things ...

Mandatory BG check ... meh, not terrible.

A winking Labradoodle!

Gratuitous vintage motorcycle shot:

And home again, home again, jiggety-jig!

Wow - Heather, I didn't know about the local mystery author - and you and Paul in them! Sounds like a fun read searching for you two...
    gorgeous photos of the market!

    1. Storm took one of Paul's creative classes several years ago. He published the novel in little chapbooks, which he'd sell at the farmers' markets, then he put it all together in a single volume. He's had great sales — better than I've been doing lately! :-p
